IRCTC Update : रेलवे परिवहन एक ऐसा परिवहन परिवहन है जिससे प्रतिदिन लाखों-करोड़ों व्यक्ति सफर करते हैं और रेलवे अपने यात्रियों को सभी सुविधा देने का प्रयास करता है , और रेलवे हमेशा ही अपनी यात्रियों की सुविधा को प्राथमिकता देता है और नए नए नियमों को अपग्रेड करता है , और इस बार भी रेलवे ने अपने अपने वरिष्ठ यात्री गणों की सुविधा के लिए नए नियम को लागू किया है ।
रेलवे की यात्रा के वक्त एक परेशानी कभी ना कभी आपने भी नोटिस जरूर की होगी हम इस परेशानी की बात कर रहे हैं कि अक्सर अगर हमारे साथ कोई भी सीनियर सिटीजन सफर कर रहा है तो कभी कदार ऐसा होता है कि रेलवे की तरफ से उन्हें लोअर बर्थ ना देकर अपर बर्थ दे दी जाती है , इस दौरान सीनियर सिटीजन को सफर करने में काफी परेशानी होती है ।
और इस बार रेलवे में सीनियर सिटीजन की इस समस्या को देखते हुए नए नियम का ऐलान किया है नए नियम के तहत आप टिकट बुकिंग के समय आसानी से लोअर बर्थ के लिए आवेदन कर सकते हैं और सीनियर सिटीजन को अवश्य लोअर बर्थ मिलेगी ।
एक यात्री ने ट्वीट पर दी परेशानी की जानकारी :-
कुछ दिनों पहले ही एक यात्री ने ट्वीट पर कहा कि मैंने आईआरसीटीसी से अपने अंकल के लिए टिकट बुकिंग की थी और लोअर बर्थ का विकल्प भी चुना था परंतु फिर भी यात्रा के दौरान IRCTC ने उन्हें अपर बर्थ दी और मेरे अंकल के पैर में काफी तकलीफ भी थी परंतु फिर भी उन्हें अपर बर्थ का इस्तेमाल करना पड़ा ।

IRCTC ने दिया ट्वीट का जवाब :-
यात्री के ट्वीट का जवाब देते हुए आईआरसीटी ने कहा कि अगर आप सामान्य कोटे से टिकट बुकिंग करते हैं तो टिकट की उपलब्धता के तहत अलॉटमेंट किया जाता है , क्योंकि सामान्य कोटे में “पहले आओ पहले पाओ “की नीति अपनाई जाती है और इसमें किसी प्रकार का मानवीय हस्तक्षेप नहीं किया जा सकता है।
इस प्रकार अवश्य मिलेगी LOWER BERTH :-
रेलवे की ओर से नए नियम के अनुसार ऐसा बताया गया कि अगर आप टिकट रिजर्वेशन के दौरान Reservation Choice Book only if lower berth is allotted के विकल्प को चुनते हैं तो आपको अवश्य Lower Berth दी जाएगी ।
21may2023 Dahli to Ujjain book 10birth allare cinear above 65 year only two birth in my booking. Train No.12416
Irctc replied no satisfactory. A lot tine I got experienced even after selecting lower both we were getting it we have age in 65 and 61.
Recently tkt booked for botad, I got upper birth, I have age of 65.
Railway not giving lower birth and not giving concession to SR citizen life me.
Sab bakawas hai.
Why not Sr Ctzn concessions in AC-2 and AC-1 classes in all trains ?
All Bande Bharat trains must offer concessions to Senior Citizens in both CC and EC classes.
It becomes purposeless to provide concessions only in Sleeper class.
It is ridiculous !!!
Railway has no respect or concern for the senior citizen.They are worried about their profits. No value for the sweat and blood shed by them in the past

Railway Administration announcement lower berth allotment just funny, but actually Senior Citizen’s face lot of problems in occupying upper/Middle berth
Senior Citizens are fleeced by colies who demands high amount fixed by administration even they have one bag, Railway should take corrective methods so as Senior citizen’s don’t face problems while traveling, In New Delhi Railway station administration provided four wheeler (Golf Type) services at platform for Sr Citizen to board or deboard train from one plateform to another platform which is welcome steps,it should be provided on main Stations i.e Jammu Amritsar Jalandhar Ludhiana Ambala Chandigarh
There should be escalators for senior citizens at the platforms.
Facilities are worst even booking ac 1st class no houskiping even no water bottle,aur snacks,aur food is provided in ahmedabad poone duranto, gandhinagar indore,veraval jabalpur,even though paid high value by sr citizens
Before 2014, there was no such government which stopped the concession ticket of senior citizens. This is the only special government which creates new records.
Even paying high fares by sr citizens for 1st ac,2nd ac aur 3rd ac in trains like ahmedabad poone duranto, gandhinagar indore,veraval jabalpur,even water bottle is not provided by railway snacks are secondary matters, biggies are very old and dirty
Rail minister dn’t know problems of sr.citizen,or he is avoiding to solve problems. Railway is not profitable company, why Sr. citizens concessions is discontinue? Railway is introducing new train why?
No help,wheelchair or stretcher could be made available to my fainting wife on Haridwar Railway bridge, & she died on the bridge.Body remained for one hr.on the bridge on Plf.1.Person only checked the reservation ticket.
It’s always difficult when your parents have to travel age like 68,66 years but no consetion, no lowe birth, only have to earn money doesn’t matter how people are suffering.
Railway was providing various facilities to senior citizens including concessional rail fare but during COVID pandemic these facilities has been withdrawn. Now they have reintroduce the concessional rail fare with riders. This concessional rail fare will be not available to SR citizens travelling in 2AC and higher class. This concessional facility is for SR citizens as per their age irrespective of their economy criteria. Now to link this with economic criteria is not just and unfair

Weseniourcitizens appeal to the Railway Minister that they may increase the age of seniour citizens to 70and up. I this category all the seniour citizens ratiowill be filterd and he should immediatley resume 50% concession to ladies passenger and 40% to Gents in ac chair cars of all super fast trains including Shatabadi Duronto And Vada matram trains.
This is absolutely very good for all senior citizens who has faced with so many problems while they has been traveled anywhere in India. But,they had tolerate due to their gentle manship.Now,they can feel that they are still young 🌱 & very much smart 🤓 then other young people.

Nowadays almost all Senior citizens (Male/Female) are suffering from knee or back pain problems. They must get lower bearths with their care taker passenger. But surprisingly whenever I travel in 2nd or3rd AC, I never got lower bearth (I am a senior citizen) and the same is enjoyed by some young passengers. I failed to understand how the seats are allotted.
Further more, if the political leaders, govt. Employees, etc etc are entitled for concession or free tickets, why not the Seniors ? What wrong they have done with the Govt.

My appeal to bbsr rly stn authority.
Day before yesterday while getting entry to rly stn battery operated car was there exclusively for sr citizen.
When I opted to seat along with my wife who is also sr citizens.
The operator didnot allow to sit along with my luggage. When I told, he told it’s for you sir not with luggage.
What Doe’s it mean I couldn’t understand, I have taken the photograph of the operator.
Let me know in which way I shall be getting sr citizens benefit.

I also fully agree with all those who submitted the genuine routine problem,which are being faced by the citizens,and we fall to understand why thease all why being ignored by the concerned authorities and no any check on the TT of the train ,how and why they are exploting and looting by just little facilitate the sufferings passengers
The software should be so updated that the moment a passenger above 65 logs in for a ticket, he/ she should be by default alloted a lower berth. In case lower berth is not available, it should be notified and then choice rests with the passenger booking the tickets.
From the time of CORONA Railway stopped sr citizens discount facility in train fare , after that 4 yr 3monhs is going on but when this facility will resumed, whole Life at the time of work/job paid paid full amount of fare and after retirement no source of income should consider to give benefits to the sr citizens.
Also provide luggage trolley without any charges to carry luggage as we find airports.
Senior citizens should not vote for BJP in 2024 till the Government reintroduced all the concessions that were discontinued during Covid099.
