According to the latest comments from the Brown coaches, he is doing well.
"He looked good," offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt said, via Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal.
"I know he's been working hard while he's away from the building. Excited to see him out there."
Van Pelt expanded on what he's seen from the star quarterback:
"He made a few throws after practice, which is what we call 'period of opportunity.' You're like, 'Oh, well, that's impressive stuff.' So that looks good. Keep working at it.
He's been in the room for a while now, so I think he has a pretty good understanding of how we work game week and how to change that when the time comes.
