Pop singer Aaron Carter dies at 34

He was the younger brother of Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys.

The website TMZ said Carter was found dead Saturday morning in the bathroom of his home in Lancaster, California.

Carter began his career playing for the boy band Backstreet Boys in several tours and concerts,

and also went on to have a successful solo career.

Carter has been open about her struggles with mental health and drug addiction over the years.

He interviewed on the talk show "The Doctors" that he has a drug dependence and is addicted to huffing.

In 2013, Carter was on his "After Party" tour, which he began after a year-long hiatus in music to rejuvenate his career and release new songs.

The singer-turned-actor was known in the early 2000s for "Aaron's Party (Come Get It), "I Want Candy" and "That's How I Beat Shake".

He released his first solo album in Europe on 1 December 1997, six days before the age of 10.

The album sold 1 million copies worldwide, a sign of his early ascent to stardom.
