Rap group Takeoff Migos shot dead at Houston party

Takeoff, a member of the rap trio Migos, has been shot and killed in Houston, Texas, their representatives have confirmed.

The rapper, whose full name was Kirshnik Khari Ball, was 28 years old.

His group mate Quavo was also present at the time of the incident. 

According to Houston police, Quavo and Takeoff were at a private party before the shooting.

He did not name a confirmed murder victim, but a takeoff representative confirmed his death.

Before the incident, Takeoff posted a photo of herself to her Instagram Stories, 

 with Playboy Carty's "stop breathing" playing in the background.

Fans of rap stars and industry personalities have started paying tributes online.

Migos also includes rapper Offset, who is married to Cardi B.

The pair have two children together, as well as three others from Offset's previous relationships.
