Tyrese Maxi injured his left leg and will undergo an MRI

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxi left Friday's game against Milwaukee with a left foot injury and has not returned.

X-rays were reportedly negative, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski,

and the 22-year-old guard is set to undergo an MRI on Saturday.

Maxi was going to have a big night against the Bucks, scoring 24 points, four rebounds and five assists in the first half.

However, he was injured by a foul late in the half, and was eventually out for good.

The 21st overall pick in the 2020 draft, Maxi is averaging a career-high 21.9 points this season while shooting 40.8% from 3-point range.

The 76ers expect Maxi, perennial Kia MVP candidate Joel Embiid,

And a healthy James Harden could help the franchise advance past the second round for just the second time since 1985.
