Simaris chemical plant in Georgia shaken by multiple explosions uncontrolled fire.. 

Police say neighborhoods in southeastern Georgia are being ordered to evacuate on Monday. 

after "multiple explosions" at a chemical plant on Colonel Island sparked "uncontrolled fires."

According to the Glynn County Sheriff's Office, the fire is affecting the Simaris Chemical Plant outside Brunswick.

"The plant has been evacuated and several explosions have been reported," the sheriff's office said. 

The cause of the reported explosions was not immediately clear.

"Hickory Bluff, Sanctuary Cove, Satilla Shores and Royal Oaks are being evacuated," the Glynn County Sheriff's Office said.
