Football fans angered by controversial call during 49ers-Seahawks game

Stop me if you've heard it before: A rough-the-passer penalty took away a great defensive play.

It happened again during Thursday night's 49ers-Seahawks game.

In the third quarter, 49ers star pass rusher Nick Bosa was running down Geno Smith and got to him as he was throwing the ball.

As the ball was released, Bosa hit it and grounded it but was penalized for it.

Here's a replay: It is safe to say that fans and members of the media are not happy about this call, especially since it eluded an interception.

Even though the Seahawks didn't get a touchdown after that call, they were still able to score a field goal to make it a two-score game (21–6).

It remains to be seen if they can mount a big comeback tonight to avoid the NFC West winning 49ers.

Neither will Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow or any other elite AFC quarterback.
