Colin Cowherd reveals his new Super Bowl prediction

The football world is beginning to believe that the San Francisco 49ers can score runs with their third-string quarterback.

After losing Jimmy Garoppolo to a broken leg, the 49ers were left with rookie quarterback Brock Purdy as their starter.

In his first two games, Purdy led San Francisco to victories over the Miami Dolphins and a blowout victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

On Thursday night, he took the field for a fight against the Seattle Seahawks. So far, the 49ers hold a 21-6 lead going into the third quarter.

This prompted TV host Colin Cowherd to make a bold prediction about Purdy and the 49ers. They seem to be on their way to a Super Bowl win.

Cowherd said of the Lombardi Trophy, "Brock Purdy will hold it in two months."

With a 49ers defense playing elite defense, it is certainly possible that the team could make a deep run in the NFC playoffs.

However the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys will not go down quietly.

Neither will Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow or any other elite AFC quarterback.
